Relationship Difficulties
People often seek psychotherapy to help with relationship difficulties. Not feeling secure in a relationship is one of the most painful experiences. We need to feel secure with the people we have our primary attachments to; family, spouses and children.

Most relationship problems stem from communication problems and often couples think: “We should be able to fix our own problems”. This is a kind of false pride because the truth is there are often patterns at work that are outside of our awareness and so we can’t work on something we are not conscious of.  A trained couples therapist can help you identify those negative cycles and help you find a different way of relating.
John Gottman’s research shows that couples wait an average of 6 years before seeking help for troubles in relationships by which time there have been further injuries. Having a secure, loving relationship actually helps us fight off disease, live longer and cope better.

PRS has many well trained couples therapists that can help you.
