What happens in a therapy session
Psychoanalysis has been called the ‘talking cure’. And that is how I view therapy—as a conversation—with the potential to increase awareness of the roots of one’s problems. In so doing psychotherapy can open up the possibility for greater freedom. Therapy is based on the technique of ‘free association’ or expressing whatever comes to mind. In our sessions we work with dream interpretation, writing, art, movement—any form of expression that suits you, and that can be integrated into the conversational experience.
You can generally contact me by e-mail or phone. I offer an initial half-hour, no-charge consultation.
