About Ken Peters
I’m a psychotherapist in private practice who works with individuals interested in personal growth and self-reflection. I became a therapist as a result of my own personal journey, which began in my twenties. As I began to experience the changes that therapy brought, I became fascinated with the process and decided to enroll at The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, completing a six year program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have been in private practice with individuals since 2014.

What happens in a therapy session
Psychodynamic therapy is built on the understanding that each person is complex, and that there are important aspects of ourselves that are sometimes outside of our awareness. In psychotherapy we work to get a fuller and deeper understanding of your situation, so you can work through your challenges and find new possibilities for the future.
The therapy process involves talking together about what is on your mind and how you are feeling. As we speak, we pay attention to additional feelings, thoughts and memories that may surface. As your therapist, I am listening closely, supporting you in the process and sometimes offering feedback or thoughts for your consideration.
