Stress that won’t switch off – saying yes when we wish we said no – constant over-thinking: these are signs of a nervous system stuck in survival mode. Perhaps these patterns still feel necessary, or maybe they feel like flaws – they’re not, at some point they helped. But, are you faithfully following a rule-book that no longer applies?
Online Therapy

I provide secure online psychodynamic therapy to clients throughout Toronto (and Ontario). Wherever you’re logging in from, I aim to offer a consistent, grounded presence you can rely on.

I work with adults who carry protective patterns such as chronic anxiety, relational difficulties, or feeling stuck in familiar loops; who are tired of just surviving and ready for change. We work on understanding these patterns without judgement, calming the nervous system, and strengthening emotional regulation to make room for curiosity and new perspectives.

Before becoming a registered psychotherapist, I practiced for 13 years as a chiropractor, which gave me a deep understanding of the body and an appreciation for the impact of stress on the nervous system. I found myself drawn to complex cases where patients’ physical symptoms were perpetuated by emotional factors. It was this work that led me to pursue training in psychotherapy, which I completed at The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in 2022.

Beyond the academics, CTP operates on a philosophy that deep personal therapeutic work is crucial preparation for providing safe and effective therapy. This program, combined with my own therapy journey, shaped my understanding of how a therapeutic relationship fosters the positive changes we long for in our lives.

Language I work in: English

  • Chronic stress & overwhelm
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Exhaustion, fatigue, and burnout
  • Self-esteem & identity issues
  • Intrusive critical and judgmental thoughts
  • Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and codependent behaviours
  • Difficulty with boundaries
  • Trust and relationship issues
  • Coping with ongoing health problems
  • Difficult relationships with food, body or substances
  • Structural dissociation

Patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and anxiety aren’t random. At one time these defences kept you safe or helped you cope with more than you were ready to bear. But maybe they no longer serve you. There’s more to life than surviving. A chronically heightened or shut down nervous system can learn that safety is possible.

Over time, the experience of being heard and attuned-to in therapy grooves an embodied sense of safety. As the nervous system finds more capacity to shift out of survival mode, more becomes available: rest that actually restores, patience in hard conversations, deeper connection with the people you love. Painful or shameful parts that once felt monstrous are often revealed as misunderstood – parts that were only ever trying to protect.

My approach to therapy is psychodynamic – informed by attachment theory, IFS, trauma research and is rooted in mind-body connection (polyvagal theory) – more than any specific method what matters most is the relationship we build together.

I tend to play my cards face up. I’ll tell you what I’m thinking and why, so the work doesn’t feel like a black box. I’m comfortable with ambiguity and the messiness of real human experience. I won’t rush you toward simple answers. There’s no fixed route to follow – I’m here to accompany you on a journey led by your innate drive toward healing – and to provide a steadying hand, or guidance, when needed.

Sessions typically run 55 mins and are provided online to clients in Toronto (and across Ontario).

I recommend meeting weekly to start; once a rhythm has been established, we can review what frequency is most appropriate for you.

I offer a free introductory session (30–50 minutes) to get a sense of whether my approach feels right – fit matters, even if you’re not yet sure exactly what you’re looking for.
