In a sense, all therapy — even individual psychotherapy — is family therapy. We carry the voices, gazes, expectations, approvals, disapprovals and the deep connections to those we first knew within us, throughout our lives. Therapy can help to uncover and clarify these links and engender a better understanding of our own motivations, giving us more space to make effective decisions in our daily lives.
I am a psychodynamic therapist, group therapist and trauma specialist, trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and AEDP.
I understand and honour the courage needed to take the first steps towards change in your life. A compassionate and therapeutically attuned engagement is essential. You probably have a sense that if given better conditions the first time around your life could have gone much better. If you are preparing to explore your inner and personal world, in essence you are daring to give your life a second chance. My Life and training allow me to comprehend the human experience, which can include trauma, life stressors, circumstances from the past or present that leave you feeling stuck or confused. I enjoy working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, creativity, and relationship strengthening. I will help you explore limiting beliefs, patterns and behaviors that are no longer serving you, and help you create new ways of living to enhance your current and future quality of life. I view therapy as a collaborative process between therapist and client. I believe much of the work is accomplished through this relationship, by building a genuine, empathic, and honest connection. I work with my clients to co-create a safe and supportive environment and find that, from there, clients are able to more fully explore their most pressing concerns. I strive to understand the difficulties my clients are experiencing and to empower my clients to access and utilize their own unique voices, both in and out of the therapy relationship.

I believe that people have an innate capacity to heal and change. Access to this healing is sometimes blocked by negative and destructive patterns that are formed when there is a need to adapt and survive difficult, traumatic or overwhelming experiences. In a collaborative, empathic, and safe atmosphere, I facilitate peoples’ connections to their own resources and foster the creation of a compassionate self that is free to make mindful choices and unlock old patterns. Through psychodynamic, humanistic and somatically oriented approaches, I help people find new insights and awareness, build resiliency and create pathways to greater fulfillment.
My office is located in the High Park area of Toronto

Finding a therapist online should be this easy. You can search our therapist profiles based on your location, availability, in-person and online sessions, or for couples counselling. You could also choose to browse all of our therapist's profiles. Once you find someone who feels like a good match for your needs, you can reach out to that therapist directly.
