It is a big step to want to make changes in your life. The journey of self-discovery can happen in the confidential space of my office. My collaborative and empathic approach will allow you to open the “closed doors” of your life in a safe environment.
I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy. My formal training in psychodynamic therapy was completed at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy. Specialized training in relationships was completed using the Sue Johnson method. Extensive training in trauma was completed with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. To supplement my knowledge, I have completed a masters degree in counseling psychology and have done several years of training and supervision at the Hincks-Dellcrest Institute.
In a session you can expect to be respectfully listened to in the safe, confidential setting of my office. We will carefully examine your issues with the goal of helping you to gather yourself so that you can be more functional in the world. Emphasis will be placed on addressing your present-day problems and identifying resources. We will work collaboratively to help you gain greater self-esteem and confidence in dealing with your issues using a variety of modalities including CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My practice is founded on extensive personal therapy. In addition to a variety of psychotherapy trainings, I bring to my work a great deal of life experience which I obtained from my previous careers where I spent thirty years in emergency medical services and five years in community social services. I have been in private practice for approximately eight years and work with young adults and individuals who have a variety of challenges including those with the criminal justice system.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we can meet to see if we are a good match.

Finding a therapist online should be this easy. You can search our therapist profiles based on your location, availability, in-person and online sessions, or for couples counselling. You could also choose to browse all of our therapist's profiles. Once you find someone who feels like a good match for your needs, you can reach out to that therapist directly.
