She/Her/Hers

Early life experiences inform how we construct and move through our adult lives. But outdated models of relating or patterns of feeling can block growth and fulfillment. In therapy we work to strengthen the essential capacities you already possess, and support new ways of being and relating that better serve you.

Online Therapy

My personal background is diverse. It has included work within both the government and education sectors, as well as a 14 year career in the tech industry. I have a BA in Classical Studies from McMaster University and have completed post-graduate work within the ADR/Negotiation program at York University. In 2017, I graduated from the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP).

My personal experience as a psychotherapy client fostered a desire to learn more about psychotherapeutic theory and process. My personal therapy along with my training within the six-year CTP program here in Toronto, has prepared me well as a therapist. It has strengthened my awareness of the difficulties we all face by virtue of the fact we are human and the empathy required to address these challenges. Both for ourselves, and for others.
I am an OSRP – Clinical Member and also a member of CAPT.

What happens in a therapy session

I approach each session with care, curiosity, and genuine interest. While I am not prescriptive in my approach, I help to guide what comes forth in each session, following your lead. In short, we start each session from the place you feel requires the most attention. I endeavour to listen deeply, not encroach, and occasionally provide interpretations and feedback when deemed necessary.

I generally work with individual clients who are open to long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy. Ideally, we will meet once a week. Additional sessions can be scheduled when necessary. Sessions are 50 minutes in length.
