Together we will begin to unlock valuable insights that will assist you in moving towards expressing more of your authentic self.
After graduating with my Master of Social Work, University of Toronto, I felt compelled to explore further the blanket of numbness that dampened the clarity and fullness of my life and relationships with other. I began Psychotherapy at the age of 25, a choice that changed my life trajectory to which I am forever grateful to my therapist.
In 2010, after successfully completing 10 years of in-depth psychodynamic training and personal therapy, I graduated with my Psychotherapy Diploma from the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy. This goal of achieving a deeper and expanded psychodynamic foundation would be of great value to my professional work which paved the way for my continued interest in learning and growing as a therapist and as a new mother.
I have dedicated my career as a therapist working with adults, adolescents, children and families, to help unlock their unique potential for greater self-actualization, mental health and well-being.
I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a graduate of the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy. To compliment my psychodynamic training, I have pursued Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dream Analysis.
Please join me in your therapy to be curious, vulnerable and willing to explore the way to experience a greater satisfaction within your life. I will provide a safe, private, respectful and creative therapeutic space where you can feel secure in gradually opening to the deeper meanings underpinning your feelings, thoughts and behaviours.
Being a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, we will explore how the conscious and subconscious work together or are at odds, within deeper levels to be discovered and understood. Our past is connected to our present and ultimately our path forward to our future will be determined by our understanding and listening.
In therapy, we can begin to identify patterns of behaviour, feelings and thoughts that can influence how we relate to ourselves and others. We are remarkable in our ability to adapt to survive, but the adaptation or coping skills may no longer be working, destructive and/or unable to be sustained in a healthy way.
In our sessions, we will begin to unlock valuable insights that will assist you in moving towards your greater authentic self, thus relieving overwhelming dysregulation or finding coping strategies for alternative behaviours or thoughts. Psychotherapy is a collaborative journey that requires patience, care and trust
