Whatever brings you to therapy is welcome and treated with respect. Sometimes we don’t know what draws us to therapy. We just know something isn’t ‘right’ in our lives. Something may be missing. Something may be confusing or difficult. That’s okay. Whether you are looking to heal (from past traumas), to grow (in ways that you are struggling) or to thrive and be free of burdens – therapy can help.

In Person, Online Therapy

Thank you for looking at my profile. You have taken the first step towards self-care. Looking for a way to improve your mental, emotional and spiritual self. Good for you!

A number of years ago I did same thing. My first step into the therapy world was as a client and it changed my life. I discovered how I related to the world and why. I already had a career, as a Project Coordinator but I was drawn to the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in Toronto where I engaged in a six-year intensive program. I wanted to sit in the other chair. I wanted to help others as I had been helped. I have been practicing since 2015. I have since graduated and hold a Diploma from CTP and am a member in good standing with the CRPO (the college that regulates the profession of Psychotherapy in Ontario).

My backgrounds in Early Childhood Education, Social Services and Project Coordination have given me valuable experience working with people of all ages and varied backgrounds from infants to seniors, new immigrants to settled Canadians, and community members to board members. I look forward to working with you.

I provide services in English.

Sitting down one on one with a therapist while being heard, seen, understood and valued in a safe space can lead to healing and recovery from trauma and other disturbances. It can move you towards the person you want to be. It can facilitate  self-discovery.

Imagine your true self. The authentic you. Free from all the burdens you’ve been carrying. It is possible to be that self again. Together we will uncover and work through whatever you need to, to live the life you want. As we experience life, we sometimes struggle and suffer and build defences and adaptive behaviours to help us cope. Later on, these ways of being no longer serve us well and we want to free ourselves of them but find it too challenging.

I provide a caring, nonjudgmental environment where we can journey together at a pace that feels safe, exploring your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and beliefs. I will listen and we will talk. Yes I will talk with you and together we will help you to be the You that you want to be. To live a happier, fulfilled, enriched, and peaceful life.

We will talk about the present and about the past. We may explore your dreams, allowing  all feelings, body sensations, and emotions to discover what lies just beneath the surface, in the unconscious. I hope we will form an alliance and journey together to uncover hidden truths, peeling back layers to discover what is going on inside you and move towards a happier, more fulfilled place.

If you would like to discuss this a little further, simply contact me and we can speak in person, on the phone or via email. Just one step at a time. No contract. No long commitment. Imagine the idea of Psychotherapy and see what happens. Maybe we’ll book an initial session. Maybe you’ll sit with it for a while. You’re in control always. Here’s to you!
